The Town

Currarong  is a small coastal town on the Beecroft Peninsula near Jervis Bay, the town has a small population of about 300 and swells significantly during the holiday seasons.

Approx 2 ½ hour’s drive south of Sydney and half  hour east of Nowra , makes it accessible to the big city population.

Fishing is very popular in the area, as well as swimming , surfing , kayaking , windsurfing , snorkeling , rock climbing and bush walking.  

Rock fishing is famous in the area for catching some of larger species of fish, table fish are always the go in the estuaries and surf, offshore is popular for reef and surface type species.

Currarong Creek is a popular play spot for locals and visitors to cool off in summer , nice protected spot for launching your boat, 4wd and tractors are common in town for launching boats.

Most of the accommodation in town consists of holiday houses , boat houses , apartments  and a caravan park .

The town has a real estate office , restaurant , takeaway shop and bowls club to keep you occupied when the weathers not so good.
